Shop with PRIDE
June is a month of pride. This is when we get to come together and celebrate either being a part of the LGBTQ+ community or showing allyship for friends there of. There is a month of pride that comes from the Stonewall Uprising of 1969. Where on June 28th cops raided a New York gay bar. Pretty much in more or less words all hell broke loose. For six days protest and riots carried on through the streets. Until 1966 it was illegal to serve alcohol to a gay person. Whaat. Thats only 55 years ago!! One year after the Stonewall Uprising was the very 1st pride parade. Now we have a whole month to show our pride and bring awareness to the things we are still fighting for.
Pride is for everyone. As much as it is for all LGBTQ+ humans it is very important for our allies to partake in such a big month of awareness. We still have so much work to do. We celebrate how far we have come and step up for the things that still need to be done. Things such as trans rights right now are huge! It’s now that we come together durning the month of June. We can not do this alone. It doesn’t just take those within this amazing community to step up but all of us together.
Below are some amazing shops that have stepped up. All these shops are either a part of the LGBTQ+ community themselves or allies of. Through out the month of June we will be collaborating on things such as giveaways, auctions, educational topics, donating to LGBTQ+.
